Its All About Me

Update: So anyway, this is my blog. Or it used to be. I recently dismantled it (as of March 2005) and turned it into a photoblog type of thing only. No one wants to read what I have to write. But people always like pictures. I'm leaving the first blog entry up, just so you know who the hell I am. I just got my first digital camera, which was a huge mental leap for me. I swore I'd never do it, but then I was totally over it in 10 minutes. I can't say I'm a great digital photographer, but I'm trying. I mean, when you are used to an 35mm SLR and have to go to digital point and shoot, there's a definite learning curve. Please accept my apologies. So, anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Hey, so yeah, introductions... My name is Christina. I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm in a pretty decent relationship with a pretty decent guy. We do all kinds of crazy stuff together. We're a lot a like, it's almost like looking in a mirror...personality wise anyway. I think that makes us both narcissists. I have a dog, named Sofie, who is one of my best friends. (That's intended to comment more on the state of society than of my social life.) I keep two fish tanks. You'll see pictures. I like my beer cold. I got a full time job, with benefits and everything. I work for a Union (UNITE-HERE)as an organizer and a representative (i.e. business agent). Having work is good, because I'm an admitted barfly. That gets expensive. Between rent in Brooklyn and my barfly tendencies and my affinity for playing a pony every now and again, I am broke most of time.
I like to read. I like to cook. I love food. I have a well stocked kitchen. I like to paint sometimes, but I like doing digital art on my computer as much. I like to travel, although I haven't really traveled all that much. But more than some, I guess. I like movies. I like the track. I play the ponies. I play football too, although I'm better at horses. Every year I go to the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. I will continue to go until I see a Triple Crown. I like to fish. I like to hike. I like to play Trivial Pursuit, way too much in fact. Trivial Pursuit is a contact sport in my house. I love to sleep. I would sleep 12 hours every night if I didn't have to work. I also like candlelit dinners and sunset walks on the beach. So there...
I'm 23 years old, but about to turn 24.
There's me right there. Drinking a mint julep. That's a glass of bourbon, a tablespoon of sugar, and a mint sprig. Nice, right?

Anyway, I think I'm a good person. I try to be a good person.
Others seem to think I am a good person.

I got some friends. They seem to like me well enough.

And my family must think I'm at least ok because they still invite me for Thanksgiving.

I will admit to having some faults though, just so you don't think I'm breaking my arm patting myself on the back. I won't share them with you however...

So that's my life in a nutshell. Could be better, could be worse, I guess. That's my story, I'm sticking to it.
