Well, the Union got a contract. Yes, it has 9% in pay increases. Yes, it has an increase in pension contributions. Yes, it still has retiree health benefits. If InterFace Solutions and Bond, Schoeneck and King (the Union busting law firm) were really trying to bust the Union, they did a piss poor job.

The Union didn't bite, they voted down the first "final offer" and went back to work, and back to the table. So the company exercised their right under the NLRA to lock their workers out, and replace them with non-local scabs.

The company tried to goad the Union into going on an economic strike so they could replace and break them. Its an old trick.

The only thing that messed up the summer was a lockout of Local 701T in Fulton, NY
